Week 1
This week was an exciting and productive one in my studies! I started learning new words and phrases related to everyday life, which has been a great way to expand my vocabulary. I focused on improving my listening skills by listening to English songs and podcasts, which I found both fun and helpful. Additionally, I explored different genres of books to broaden my knowledge base and enjoy the process.
In my reading class, I had the opportunity to read a variety of texts, including novels, non-fiction, and short stories. This helped me understand the importance of different cultures and perspectives. I also learned about grammar rules and sentence structures, which I found both challenging and rewarding. For example, I learned how to use possessive pronouns correctly and how to structure sentences with commas and periods.
This week was also a good time to practice my writing skills. I wrote a short essay on the importance of reading for my daily life, which helped me improve my ability to express ideas in English. I also worked on my speaking skills by volunteering to speak in the school assembly, which gave me a chance to practice my public speaking and nervousness.
Finally, I worked on my English conversation skills by participating in group activities and discussions. I learned how to listen actively and respond thoughtfully, which has improved my ability to communicate effectively in English. This week was a mixed bag, but I feel like I made progress and am looking forward to the next week!
Looking forward to Week 2, I am excited to continue learning and growing in my English skills!
